Thomas Thompson Napier of England built Napier House using local timber prepared by then slaves. In early days there was a race track on the property where Indians and early settlers, Dutch and Portuguese, were said to gather for races and chicken fights. The interim office and guest house of Viceroy Napier. The first floor was the office and ground floor was used for tying horses. The building holds a history of more than 300 (three hundred) years and was a venue for at least 150 national and international movies. Napier House is converted into a heritage hotel by name “Napier Heritage” under the strict guidance of Archaeological officials by the renowned business group Chungath Jewellery. Napier Heritage has got 18 luxury rooms of star category with an amazing swimming pool and restaurant run by Chungath Hospitality Private Limited.
